I'm so grateful for my boss.
I've been blessed to have good bosses throughout my professional career. Or at least not bad bosses. They generally like me and I perform at least enough to stay in their good graces.
This boss though, he's my favorite.
From my interview we clicked! Since then, I've come to appreciate how much he has contributed to my current job satisfaction--a lot. It wasn't until yesterday when I found out he was making plans to leave in September that I realized just how much. (Thankfully he's scratched those plans and he's planning to stay. *fingers crossed*)
As I've thought about all the reason why, here are some of my favorite reasons:
-He's fiercely protective.
-Yet sensitive when needed and most generous.
-He trusts me.
-He gives me freedom to explore, create, and try.
-He values my ideas, work, and contributions.
-He encourages me to embrace opportunity and follow my instincts.
-He protects the balance that I need.
-He helps me indirectly and directly realize my potential and get what I want.
The funny not-so-funny thing is this list describes the kind of dynamic I've always wanted in a marriage.
And thankfully, the kind of relationship I'm starting to better recognize I already have with the Savior...
Too bad he's taken.
