It doesn't happen very often, but every once in a while I feel so overwhelmed I just want to sleep forever. I'm grateful that 1. It's nothing at all like clinical depression or that kind of stuff and 2. I've learned some techniques and perspectives over the years to help me work through it.
So, I made sure I put in a good scripture study first thing in the morning, I eventually took a two hour nap, and I've slowly worked through each item on my to-do list, allowing intermittent periods of resting, watching a drama, talking on the phone, eating, etc.
I still have a fuller list, but I'm feeling better and better about it.
As President Monson taught me, Life by the yard is hard, by the inch it's a cinch. And as President Benson assured, Men and women who turn their lives over to God will discover that He can make a lot more out of their lives than they can.
